Welcome

Welcome to Eofor Custom Leatherwork.

My aim is to craft individual items in a traditional and unashamedly old-fashioned way using only solid high quality leather and hand stitching. My philosophy is very simple - I will not make or sell anything that I would not be pleased to own myself. I like to think of these artefacts as an antidote to the cheap , insubstantial mass produced products which predominate much of today's marketplace. My inspiration comes from the days when luggage was made from heavy leather and canvas , shorts were long and baggy , moushtaches big and bushy and upper lips were seriously stiff !

Please look at the various examples of my work below. All items are individually made so please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to commission something along the lines of the examples below or maybe something different.

Finally ! I have managed to get round to adding some pictures of some recent stuff I have made. Some interesting commissions. I am very excited by the 'Lift the dot' fasteners I have managed to source. I now have these in silver and black finishes. They are far superior to ordinary press studs and much more secure. They make a useful alternative to my traditional brass buckles.

Great day yesterday at the Knives UK show at Tortworth Court . Many thanks to all who came and said nice things about my work and a bigger thank you to all who bought things or placed orders , I will be  starting work on these this week. Next show will be the Wilderness Gathering, 15-18th August.

Busy Busy !

Very busy at the moment getting ready for the 'Knives UK ' show on the 30th June , Tortworth , Gloucestershire.  This will be my first show so I am beavering away making stuff and scratching my head wondering how to display it. It would be nice to say hello if anyone is going to be there. Pictures of some new stuff will be on display shortly including a commission for a Fore sight cover for a 'Sharpes 'Quigley' 45-90 rifle. This has got to be one of the coolest rifles I have seen ! Also a range of belt pouches for 'Leatherman - wave multi tools (or similar) and some sized to take the standard size tobacco tins. The designs were inspired by one of my heroes - R M Williams (the man not the corporation !) By the way if any of my mates down under are reading this - g'day , and don't feel to despondent about the current state of Aussi  cricket - it wouldn't take much of an improvement to be competitive with the likes of Kenya Scotland or even Afghanistan !!

Two new items.  A lightweight sheath for an Opinel No8. This can be used on a belt but as the Opinel is so light  it is ideally suited as a neck knife. Many thanks to Roger of Bison Bushcraft for the loan of the knife. The other is a solid 'Bushcraft' style sheath for a Fallkniven H1 / F1. This can either be used with the belt loop or 'Scandi' style with the D ring.
